Shreemanta Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati

     Worshipers from all corners of the world congregate here in Pune to see famous deity Shree Dagdusheth halwai. Worshipers worship with full faith in the Lord And purifies the soul.  The Temple of Lord is loacted in Budhwar Peth of Pune.  The Deity is  popular in all sections of society as it fulfill  wish of devotees. The Deity is famous for its golden jewelery and Silver Mahal.

    Shreemanta Dagdusheth Halwai was very famous sweet trader of the past era (1883). He was a very virtuous and righteous man.  As he lost his young son in the outbreak of plague he get depressed. To come out of this his Guru suggested him to Sthapan  (establish) idols of Shree Ganesh and Shree Dattatray.  Thus Idol of Shree Ganesh get SthapanIn 1893 when Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak gave a public form to the celebration of the festival of Ganpati. Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Trust,  was established in he year 1893. Devotees residing in Pune and around often visit this temple and offer their prayers. Everyday, Poojas are performed twice.
